June 1997 Rusgems Ltd join-venture established in Bangkok, Thailand Formica opens ASEAN representative office in Bangkok, Thailand
May 2002 Formica establishes the subsidiary Rough Synthetic Stones Co. Ltd in Thailand 10th anniversary of Formica
August 2002 Jewelry manufacturing unit established in Bangkok, Thailand Launch of "Lori" jewelry brand in Thailand
August 2004 Establishment of Formica-Phianite Co., Ltd manufacturing plant in Thailand Formica-Phianite Co., Ltd commences production of colored Cubic Zirconia
January 2005 Started commercial production of nanocrystallic glass-ceramic material at Formica-Phianite Co., Ltd Formica became Preciosa's Authorized Platinum Partner

September 2013 Formica is named a finalist for the Hong Kong JNA Awards in the “Manufacturing and Technology” category Formica headquarters moves to Bangkok, Thailand
January 2014 Formica Crystal Systems Co., Ltd established in Chonburi, Thailand Formica Gems (China) established in Wuzhou, China
June 2016 Formica Crystal Systems Co., Ltd commences production of Nanogem and Nanocrystals Production of nanocrystallic glass-ceramic material reached 200 tons a year
July 2017 Creation of Gemstone Reflections and Siamite brands Formica receives patent from the US Patent Office for a heat-resistant synthetic nanocrystalline material

Perfect colored gemstone imitation

Siamite is the product name for an advanced nano glass-ceramic composite engineered to give the impression of similarity to natural colored gemstones. Unlike glass and most synthetic stones, Siamite is stable, will never fade or be damaged during lost wax casting.
